FAQ

Good questions.

Kind answers.

How much protein do I need on a GLP-1?

Many providers suggest about 1.2 to 1.6 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight per day while on a GLP-1, because appetite is lower and protein helps protect muscle. Spread it across meals and pair it with strength training. Your provider can set a target that fits your health history.

How is my daily calorie number calculated?

The calculator uses the Mifflin-St Jeor equation to estimate the calories your body uses at rest, then multiplies it by your activity level. It is an estimate, and real needs can vary by about 10 percent from person to person.

Is BMI accurate?

BMI is a quick screening number based on height and weight. It does not measure muscle, bone or where weight is carried, so two people with the same BMI can be very different. A licensed provider looks at BMI alongside labs, history and other measures.

Do you save what I type into the calculators?

No. Everything you enter stays on this page in your browser and is not saved or sent anywhere. The calculators are general education, not medical advice.
